Vintage Snowman Copic Marker Color Combo

Vintage Snowman Copic Marker Color Combo

Hi my crafty peeps! I’m sharing with you today a brand new digi stamp company. I’ve had my eye on this extremely talented artist for some time now and she only just recently opened her digi shop, Kinda Cute by Patricia. I adore her style and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of her new Christmas Digis! If you haven’t done so yet, you should run over and get your hands on some of these for your own Christmas Cards.

I decided to build a scene around my image. I created this scene freehand using my Copic Markers. A few months ago I created a post How to Color a Large Realistic Scene Using Copic Markers. In this post I shared how I use paintings and illustrations to determine the colors I’m using and guides for shadows. Well, I’ve been really studying paintings and the colors, textures, shadows and highlights. I’ve been practicing creating my own backgrounds around my images.

I’m using Copic Xpress it Blending Card. If you know me.. I used a lot more Copic Markers than what I listed in my Inspirational photo. So, here’s my full Copic Marker List.

  • Snow – C00, C1, C2, W00, W1, W3, W5, N3, N5, E000, BV00, BV000
  • Hat – R37, R59, N5
  • Buttons – G85, G82
  • Carrot – YR12, E33, E7
  • Scarf – E30, E33, E3
  • Trees – G85, N3, W3, N1
  • Sky – W1, W00, BV000, E000

I went through the entire image and made snow dots with my White Gel Pen. I also added little scribbles of white on the trees for snow, as well. Don’t you think by adding the snow to the scene… it really pulls the entire scene together.
