I’ve had these cards to share for almost 2 weeks now. I finished them right before Valentine’s Day, then went out of town that weekend. When I came home I had Copic classes here in So Cal that I teach — then BAM! Sick as you know what for the last week! UGH!

I had so much fun creating this set of cards using the Jump for Joy Stamp Set by Neat and Tangled. I decided to share the process of coloring the no-line white bunny because I think it’s one of the most common questions I get in my emails. How to color white.

My biggest tip for coloring white is leaving a white space!!!!! You are basically just shadowing areas of depth and or to give a rounder appearance…but you must leave a white space!  This is the order I use when I color white with Copics – N3 in the areas I want to be shadowed, then blend out with N0 then trace the stamped image in N5 the part you want shadowed the darkest.. this is my Make it POP! Then, soften the N5 by flicking it out with N1. You might possibly need N0 again to soften the lightest part into white. Don’t forget to leave a white space.

I also wanted to share how I created these backgrounds. I am so loving these Distress Oxide Inks! Creating backgrounds with them is extremely addicting. The background stamp I’m using is Neat and Tangled’s New Mail Background Cling Stamp. I’m using the following colors:

Bunny Card – Picked Raspberry, Scattered Straw and Mowed Lawn

Squirrel Card – Shaded Lilac, Evergreen Bough and Scattered Straw

I used my Misti to stamp my image in desert sand memento ink  (to get that no line technique) and stamped onto my Copic Xpress Blending Card. I used the following Copic Markers:

Bunny – N0, N1, N3, N5, R30, R32

Squirrel – E30, E31, E33, E25, R32, R30

I hope you enjoy the video!
