It’s time for another card for my Guest Spot over at Newton’s Nook Designs. Today I’m sharing some No Line Copic Coloring with Newton’s Nook stamp set, Newton’s Perfect Wave. I stamped my little Newton in Memento Desert Sand so I can get that no line look. I used my Mini Misti so I can get that perfect stamped image. Many people ask what paper to use when Copic coloring and my absolute favorite is Copic Xpress it Blending Card. I colored him up with my Copic Markers and used my distress oxide inks to create the background.

Here are the color combos I used:

Newton – N0, N1, N3, N5, R32, R30

Surf Board and shorts – Y35, Y02, Y11, BG11, BG13, B12, B00

Distress Oxide Colors – Peacock Feathers, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade.

I did some fussy cutting here — Check out my one tip when fussy cutting!

To create the waves with my distress oxides I sponged my inks using the Picket Fence Studios Life-Changing Brushes and really focused on the amount of pressure I was adding to the brush so I only used the Peacock feathers, but still got the lighter color. To get the shape of the waves I just used a piece of trimmed scrap paper. The white gel pen REALLY gives the perfect touch to the splash in the wave.

I have a video to share with you on how I colored adorable Newton Surfing. Check it out below — I hope you will subscribe to my channel for more Copic Videos and card techniques.
