Mommy Lhey – Two Step Stamping Card

Today I’m sharing a little two step stamping with you all. I’m using the gorgeous stamp set called Strokes in All. The paper is from a few kits ago from the  Mommy Lhey Little Bits Monthly Kit!

I’m using the light pink, dark pink and green Mommy Lhey Ink Pads. For those of you who are new to stamping Two Step Stamping is when you have layering stamps that coordinate. So I stamped the solid part of the rose stamp in the light pink ink and then you overlap the darker pink with the rose over the light pink.

You can also stamp off the same color if you don’t have 2 different pinks or of any color. So you would ink up your solid stamp and stamp it on a scratch paper – then stamp it on your project paper. For the top rose you would directly stamp from the ink pad onto your project paper. This will give you the same look as I have here.

I used my Spotty Alphabet to stamp my ‘HELLO’. I stamped it directly to my card front with the 2 step stamping roses and then I stamped it on another piece of white card stock and cut them out. I popped them up with some foam dots for some extra dimension on my card.

I love how elegant this card turned out. The Spotty Alphabet set makes both of these stamp sets so versatile. You can make anniversary, birthday, thank you .. the list can go on and on. So get out those  Mommy Lhey Stamps and create some cards.
