Jillibean Soup Holiday Shaker Cards
If you haven’t created a shaker card using Jillibean Soup Shakers you are missing out. The self adhesive plastic shapes and the pre-cut, dies and scored cards are just awesome and so convenient. Check out the Jillibean Soup BLOG for more inspiration, too!
Here’s a card I made using the new Be Tacky Stamp and Die Set. First I colored my tree and snowman die cuts. Then I made snowy hills from the 2 white pieces of white card stock. Then, adhere the snowy hills together (about half way up the mason jar. Then Adhere the plaid card stock to the back of the snowy hills. Use your plastic mason jar shaker to measure your scene. Adhere your tree and snowman. Then place all of your shaker fillers in the center of your scene and place your self adhesive plastic shaker over the scene and set aside.
Take your grey distress oxide ink and sponge the inside of the card base where the mason jar die cut is. Make sure you put a scrap piece on the inside of the card. Then take your red plaid strip and adhere to the left side of the card base. Wrap your ribbon around the card base and tie into a bow. Now, place your shaker through the die cut in the card base. Then, take your misc white card stock and adhere to the inside of the front of the card keeping the shaker in place. Finally take your white gel pen and add snow to your sponged area around the mason jar.
Have you seen the new Jillibean Soup Polka dot and Plaid Paper Packs. I LOVE them — the colors are awesome.
I used the Llama Holiday Stamp and Die set to create this Holiday Shaker Card. Here’s my step by step instructions to create it.
First color all of your images for your scene. I colored all of my images with Copic Markers. If you want to learn more about Copics — check out my Copic Resources Page!
Then take your teal circle and glue your images to the circle (towards the bottom.) Trim the part of the images that are sticking off the circle. Then place all of your shaker fillers in the circle and then place the self adhesive plastic circle over your scene and the fillers. Take your grey plaid card stock and wrap the ribbon around the piece of the sides and wrap to the back and glue. Use the remaining ribbon to create a bow. Adhere to the card base. Then Place your shaker through the hole and adhere the white card stock to the back of the front of the card keeping the shaker in place. Place your wooden stars and sentiment as shown in the photo.
