How to Make Your Images Look 3D on Your Cards + Purple Onion Designs Release
What’s up my creative peeps! Today I’m sharing some cards using the new release from Purple Onion Designs. These stamps are seriously the cutest! I am such a fan of Stacy Yacula. Her illustrations are amazing and so much fun to color.
It’s been a while since I used unmounted rubber — I forgot how crisp they actually stamp! All I did to stamp them was place a small piece of scor-tape to the back of them — along the top and bottom and then I stamped them using my Mini Misti. I stamped them with Black Memento Ink and Stamped onto my Copic Xpress it Blending card.
This first card I’m using the Bunny, Lamb , lollipop, popcorn, carnival booth and the roller coaster images. All these stamps are separate — but I wanted to use them all to create this card front sized scene. The little piggy is actually cut off of the roller coaster. Which shows you how versatile the stamps are and how much fun you can have creating little scenes.
This entire scene is colored with my Copic Markers — including the grass and clouds.
Here’s a full list of the Copics used in this first card.
Pig – R32, R30, R01, E000, E33, V12, V15, V01

I love his next card because this little goat is too freaking cute! The balloon and barrel are also separate stamps. I had some leftover pieces of a sponged card front that I cut up and added to my card. CARDMAKING TIP: I always save little scraps like this because you never know when you can use them. I used Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks.
Here’s a full list of the Copic Colors used on this second card.
Balloon – V01, V000, V12, V15
Barrel – E23, E25, E27

Soon as I saw the image Roller Coaster I knew I wanted to create this scene of a parking lot with grass. Doesn’t it look like the perfect day to take a roller coaster ride? Any time you want to create a scene where you have something far in the distance — the trick is to make it blurry and less defined. You can also get a better look of the full image and you can see where I cut the pig off to make him look like he’s behind the booth in my first card.
Here’s a full list of Copic Colors I used in this card.
Pig – R32, R30, R01, E000, E33, Y21, Y28
Cart – V01, V000, V12, V15, B12, B14, B95, N5, N9
