Did you know?

Hair is 85% of people’s struggles. I get so many emails about needing help or struggling coloring hair. I hope this post is helpful for you all! Depending on the style you have, no one has smooth solid hair. It’s, HAIR! There’s lines all over, you don’t want them to be blended out. In this tutorial I’m showing you step by step how to color the image below. There are no lines in this image so I’m going to show you how to create them. If you follow these steps with any color combo, I bet you would be so much happier with the outcome of your hair coloring.

On your marker.. get set.. COPIC!

So in this first photo I created some lines to go off of so it will be a little easier to create shadows.

Once we have our hair strands, and yes we want them very line-y, Take your E40 and one swipe over the entire hair.

Now, deepen the darkest areas by going over with E44.

Pull out that color with E42 blending out the deep creases.

Then with the very tip of my W7 and light handedly define a few areas of the hair.

I have created a digi-coloring book all on hair. There’s no tutorials, or words, it’s just a coloring book. I wanted this to appeal to all artists no matter what coloring mediums they use. I’ve been on instagram so much lately looking at all the art features accounts and there are so many people who color hair and in all colors and different pallets. I wanted to create my own. So I’m so excited to share with you my first Digi Coloring Book! There are 14 pages, 5 different designs and in different sizes and a lighter shade for the ‘no line’ look.
