How to color a Peony using Copic Markers and Sunny Studios Stamps

I’m using the new Pink Peony Stamp set and I’ve die cut them with the Coordinating Pink Peony Dies. I’m also using the new Spring Fling Paper Pad. To soften up the boldness of the purple paper I put the Frilly Frames Striped die over it. This really softens up the card making the flowers bold and jump right off the card.

I’ve stamped my images in Memento Black Ink and stamped onto my Copic Xpress it Blending Card – which is my favorite paper to use when coloring with Copic Markers.

Since my Frilly Frame striped die is white and so is my card base I added some foam tape behind the frame to really make the scalloped border pop on my card.

I’m just doing some very basic coloring and shadowing on my Peony flowers with my Copic Markers. Once you have the blending down to a t you can always take some deeper grey tones and really define that shadowed area. I recommend using the N’s — like N5 or possibly N7. Adding grey to your color combos can really make the shadow and colors pop.
