How to color a Cat Birthday Card using Copic Markers

Hi there my crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a card using Maker’s Movement, I heard there was Cake Stamp and Die Set‘. The little cat is cute — I love how he looks on top of the cake. All my images are stamped in Memento Black Ink and Stamped onto my Copic Xpress it Blending Card using my Misti, so I can get that perfectly crisp stamped image.

I used my Copic Markers to color the images. Here’s a list of the colors I’ve used on my card.

Cake – E50, E53, E55, E57, E59

Cat – E50, E53, E55, E57, R32, R30

Balloon – R32, R30, E55

I created my background using Vintage Photo and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks and used my Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes to blend them. I also splattered a little water on the background to get the distress oxides to have a reaction and cause some splatters. For some extra dimension I adhered all my images and sentiment strips using some pop dots. This adds so much more detail to your cards.

Check out the video below so you can see how I colored the cake and cat. Creating the Cake Texture is so much fun and simple to do. A Rainbow Cake would be so pretty!
