Fall Distress Oxide Color Combos with Ellen Hutson Stamps
Hi there my crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a few cards using the new release from Ellen Hutson! I’m using the new stamp set Mondo Oak Leaf. It’s a GORGEOUS Stamp set — soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to create a card using the Emboss Resist Technique. So I decided to create some different fall cards using different Fall Distress Oxide Color Combos.
I created 3 cards using 3 different Fall Distress Oxide Color Combos. All the leaves are stamped in White Ink and then embossed with white embossing powder before adding the distress oxide inks with my Blending Brushes. Here’s the combos I’ve used for my cards.
Barn Door Distress Oxide Ink, Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink
Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink, Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink
Scattered Straw Distress Oxide Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink, Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink

I like your color palettes and how you did the embossing resist. What a great idea and these leaves look way better than the ones on the ground in my backyard! Perhaps you could make several thousand more and I can switch them out! Not send the icky leaves to you, though. I guess that is not an option but yours are way prettier than mine. 🙂

I do enjoy your work and I like that you embossed the leaves vs. just stamping them. I was kind of hoping that I could see you color in one of the newer stamp sets because of your coloring skills–they are awesome by the way!
