New Simon Says Stamp Challenge Anything Goes

Emboss Your Entire Image Card Making Technique

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  ‘Food’ Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week, too.

This week the challenge is Anything Goes!
We are showcasing Stampendous this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used. I’m using this adorable set called Birthday Balloons.
I stamped my image on my Copic Xpress it Blending Card using the Memento Black Ink.
I used the following Copic Markers on my card.
R81, R83, R85, BV04, BV02, Bv00, BV0000, V12, V06, B21, B23, B26, BG13, BG11, BG10,

After I colored my balloons I took my white gel pen and went over the black outline of the stamp — to tone down the outline. Then I went back and added some sparkles using my white gel pen. You can find my Sparkle Tutorial here! Once I was happy with all the sparkles I took my Clear Embossing Ink and pressed it all over my image and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. It gives the entire image a shiny gloss look.

The clear embossing on the whole card really brings out the glossy texture and using the white pen to soften the black embossed stamping of your balloons was the right thing to do…beautiful. I have embossed a good portion of a card’s focal point but never thought to do the whole card…creative and nicely done. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and we are teaming with Pause, Dream Enjoy…the Double Dare’s Dare to submit to them as well (a link on our post). Love to see future projects from you and hope you come back soon, and each Monday come back and see what Trouble Maker, Twisted Sister and Double Dare have up their sleeve.

Beautifully created, Mindy! I love using clear embossing powder to add emphasis to an element but I am going to be trying your technique very soon. Great card! Thank you for joining us at the Double Trouble Challenge.
