Paper Smooches - Create Highlights using a White Gel Pen

Create Highlights using a White Gel Pen

Hello there crafty peeps! I’m so behind on my posts. I’ve had some serious internet issues over the last week and a half. Fun, right!?

Here’s my last post for my Paper Smooches Guest Designer Spot. I’m using the Lighthouse Die, Fireworks Die (for the star) and the Summer Sampler Sentiment Set. This is such a Fun and quick card to make. I literally just blending my B91, B93, B95, B97 and B99 Copic Markers. I started dark in the center flicking on each side of my dark center. Then continued outward with each lighter color.  I wanted this to be a night scene so I kept it all Blues but you can do this with Sunset colors, lighter blues, purples and pinks. Any Copic Colors, really. I wanted the Lighthouse to be a silhouette.

After I had my splat of blue I took out my white gel pen. I wanted to Create Highlights using a White Gel Pen. So, I made some scribbles in the water. Then I went back with my B99 and under those highlights I shadowed the water. This really makes it pop! If you wanted to you could even use N7 or N9 if you wanted a darker shadow. Then I took my White Gel Pen and drew some stars in the sky.
