Creating a Scene + No Line Coloring + Bubbles using Copic Markers

Hello there crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a tutorial on Creating a Scene + No Line Coloring + Bubbles using Copic Markers for Scrapbookpal.com. This adorable Lucky Duck stamp set is from My Favorite Things.

The sentiment is also from this set, but instead of using one of them I decided to cut up the sentiment so I can create the “Soak up all the Bubbly” instead of “Soak up all the Love” or “Break out the Bubbly”.

My images are stamped in Memento Desert Sand Ink and stamped onto my Copic Xpress it Blending card using my Misti so I can get that no line effect. The stamp set comes with bubbles but I did not stamp any of them, instead I’m going to show you how to create freehand bubbles using your Copic Markers. Fun, right?! Here’s a list of the Copic Markers I used in the video and my card.

  • Duck – Y21, E42, E41, Y26, YR12, R20
  • Frog – G20, G21, G24,
  • Tile floor – C00, N0, N1
  • Wall – BG000
  • Bathtub – BG10, BG11, BG13, BG000
  • Bubbles – BG11, BG13, Y00 BG000, RV10, BV000

I also used my white gel pen to create that foamy sparkle (check out my Sparkle Technique) from all the suds and bubbles and I used my black micron pen to dot the eyes since we are doing the no line coloring technique.

Here’s the video I created for Scrapbookpal.com, creating my card and scene.

I also have another Step by Step Rainbow Bubble Tutorial you can check out. You can use the step by step tutorial or the video above using any color combo, too.

Check out THIS POST on using a solid blue for the bubbles.
