Copic Coloring and Light Source with Neat and Tangled

Copic Coloring and Light Source

Copic Coloring and Light Source

Hello my crafty friends. Today I have a new video tutorial for Neat and Tangled. Today I’m talking all about light source. I wrote a very popular post on STOP — looking for the light Source it’s a great post if you don’t understand where shadows go.  But sometimes there are images where you just have to add a direction of light.

I’m using one of the NEW Stamp Sets from Neat and Tangled called Eggcited — and who wouldn’t be eggcited with an Easter Egg this big!

Before we get to the tutorial I just want to talk about light source. I get so many people emailing me that they struggle with light source so I wanted to share a little bit about it. Technically there is light all around us. Unless you have an image with an actual light, or creating a night scene you are going to have light all over. There’s basically light all over my image here but the shadows on the ground and the back side of the egg and bunny all have the darker areas on the same side. To achieve a light source look you have to make sure all the shadows are on the same side.

I’m using the following Copic Marker colors in this tutorial.

I used my Misti to stamp my image in memento ink and stamped onto my Copic Xpress Blending Card.

N0, N1, N3, N5, R81, R83, R85, RV10, Y26, Y21, G82, G85, BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV02, BV23, E0000, E30, E31, E33, R32, R30

Enjoy the video.
